For those people who know me, this subject shouldn't be a shock to you. If you are just reading this you will take one of two sides: agree with me (as you are atheist) or you a religious nut/crazy.
Recently, my family and I have been touched by the story of a young man whose name is John Doe. John is a minor who resided with his deceased fathers wife who just gave him to a sober living home for men who have just gotten out of prison. Now this would be a nice thought IF THE KID WAS A DRUNK OR DID DRUGS OR WAS IN JAIL! My brother has known John since middle school and they have remained friends. When my brother transferred to the private high school, he met up with John there as his stepmom had enrolled him there. The stepmom took him out last September and claimed to home school him which she never did so he has been out of school for about a year. Because she has been too busy with her religious things and John Doe has lost faith in the religion as no one in the congregation where he went so she shoved him in this place. This woman clearly didn't even want to try to talk to her kid or anything. She still even gets the money from the state for him, how lovely. This kid ran away from this sober living home and found his way to our home where he actually showered, ate and rested. Then the today the men and the woman trespassed and forced him from our home. The woman even threatened me and my family a couple times. My family and I even made several phone calls to try to save John Doe from these terrible people. I even called an acquaintance who said "I shouldn't get involved" and REFUSED to tell me his story.
WITH ALL THIS SAID...last time I checked aren't religious people supposed to care and help everyone no matter if they are religious? That their supposed "God" stands for goodness? If this was true then WHY DO THEY HAVE AN INNOCENT YOUNG MAN IN A PLACE WHERE HE DOESN'T BELONG BECAUSE HE ISNT RELIGIOUS? This country was based on freedom of religious and they religious peopledon't seem to get that. I am so tired of seeing these religious assholes do what they can to hurt innocents and try to cover it up. I'm not saying all religious people are like this but 99.999% of them are. They live by some fairytale and wash their hands in innocence.
I'd love to hear anyone elses thoughts on this

I don't know you. I just came across this blog through searching blogger. Your first post, I must say, was shocking as I was looking for something to read, because I'm a Christian.
ReplyDeleteI'm very sorry for the experience you've had with religious people. That is certainly not how a true Christian (or any other religious person) should act. If she is claiming she is a Christian, I would seriously doubt her sincerity. As I've learned in my relationship with God (because that's what Christianity truly should be), following Him is about love. I do stand against certain things in this world and such, but never in hate. Christians should be approaching things in love and care. I don't understand the full situation (and it is not my place to), but I just wanted to tell you I'm sorry for the poor view you've received of Christianity. It is certainly not supposed to be that way.
God is the God of love, but sometimes some of His "followers" don't understand that.
